Almost every town in Nicaragua is organized a round a central church; it's that Catholic domination thing.

I believe this is the Iglesia de Guadalupe and dates from 1626. For a small fee you can go up in the tower and have a fantastic view of Granada.

One of the (in my view anyway) cooler buildings in Granada. Not really sure were it was and it was in the process of being restored so you couldn't go in, but it looked like it would have fantastic inner courtyard.

I'm fascinated by the idea that you can just pick up and move huge structures like this house (maybe it's an old school, I don't know for sure). It just seems like a monumental undertaking, and yet people do it all the time around here. I don't know if this one is coming or going, but I'm glad I'm not involved in either.

Our house was (supposedly) built in the 1930s or so and has a lot of interesting nooks and crannies. This shot is upstairs in what we affectionately call the gimp toilet. Two things worth noting: behind the wall to the left is the actual upstairs bathroom, which is fully functional and has its own toilet. The door to this room, which is directly behind the camera in this shot, locks from the outside. Kinda creepy, which is why we call it the gimp toilet.

The collapsing building in my backyard. I sort of assume it was a garage, though it hasn't been anything in quite a while. You can't see it in this picture but the roof has fallen in and the back wall is rapidly following suit. On a different note this is the first time I've created a Black and White image with the new B&W tools in Photoshop CS3 -- much easier than my old, somewhat convoluted method.
