We don't own much in the way of original art, but this fortune telling machine is one very cool thing that we do have. It was designed and built by our friends Andy Cherewick and Chris Purcell. More of Andy's art can be seen at athensartists.com

The Georgia State Botanical Gardens are just down the street from our house and in the lobby there's this exhibit by an artist named Susan Carlton Smith which features little vignettes and figures constructed entirely out of natural materials -- bark, seeds, beetles, grass, leaves, roots, etc. The figure above is entitled "Don Quixote."

I gave Corrinne a Gocco for Christmas and this morning she took it for spin, making these awesome prints (cards actually). The image is from an old book on ballroom dancing and I have to say the Gocco is pretty damn awesome (it's like a mini-screenprinter basically). Seems like just about any image pushed to pure black & white in Photoshop would print quite nicely.

These are a series of remarkable sculptures I found off the Avenue des Champs-Elysées, but I have no idea who did them. There was a plaque commemorating Jean Moulin, hero of the French resistance in WWII, but that's about all I know. If you know better, let me know in the comments.
