We woke up this morning in the mountains and discovered that a rather large hailstorm was bearing down on us. I don't know if you've ever been in house with a metal roof when it hails, but you don't want to. Oh, sure it's charming for about ten minutes and then it starts to get really, really loud. So we came back to Athens early.

I noticed this the other day, something about the light and composition reminds me of something Georgia O'Keeffe would paint. Hers would look much better of course.

The collapsing building in my backyard. I sort of assume it was a garage, though it hasn't been anything in quite a while. You can't see it in this picture but the roof has fallen in and the back wall is rapidly following suit. On a different note this is the first time I've created a Black and White image with the new B&W tools in Photoshop CS3 -- much easier than my old, somewhat convoluted method.
