Last week someone stole a planter off our front porch. For some reason I find this very disturbing. The porch is now lopsided. And what's more the thing must have weighed 40+ lbs, it's 1.5 inch concrete and filled with wet soil -- who steals that? Frat kids that's who. Initiation pranks or something. I told the cop (had to call, not my pots, not paying for the loss), if you find it and it's a white kid under 22 I'll press charges, otherwise just get my flowers back. Naturally I've never heard from the cops, they have better things to do than look for flower pots. However I did enlist the mailman (who has access to everyone's porch) in the search. So far nothing. Karma will find you my little planter thief.
