Like most swap meets the J&J is one part total junk, one part real finds at dirt cheap prices and one part ultra-cheaply manufactured goods that look like they came from some developing world tourist bazaar. The ratio of those things used to be about 60/20/20 respectively, but sadly over the years its become more like 20/5/75. Still, it's the best place around for cheap, fresh produce. And airbrushed license plates.

Indoor market. Lacked the chaos and vibrancy of Asian markets, but it had amazing meats and spices. Also see: Refracted Light and Grace

Attapeu is a sleepy little river town in the highlands of Laos, but they do have a kickin' market scene.
